Have you ever had a run so perfect it gave you chills? For
me, it’s rare. While I’m always glad after I’ve gotten out – usually there is
some kind of struggle there. It’s hard. I’m tired. My legs hurt. It’s cold.
Etc. Today my body was eager to work. The sun was shining… but it was chilly…
but warm enough so I could still sweat. There were white clouds floating in
smokey billows. The rain from earlier glistened on leaves and branches and
standing puddles. I had the perfect bubble blowing gum. And my playlist couldn’t
have been better. Amazingly nobody else was on the trail, except the same white
haired gentleman I always seem to cross paths with at the same spot. I always
see him when he has just crested one side of a steep incline and is about to
come down the other side. I’m coming up the other side about to go down his
side. It’s funny to me that we always meet there. We give each other a happy
smile as we both are about to enjoy the fast little downhill… Just got home and
am about to enjoy a burning hot shower… Feeling very grateful I got to start
the day like this. Happy.
